Parent coaching offers a safe and confidential space where you can receive non-judgmental support to improve your parenting skills.
Parenting holds unparalleled significance as one of life's most vital responsibilities.

Does having a peaceful and happy coexistence with your child seem to be a challenge? Are the vast numbers of techniques, videos and information on parenting seems to be impossible to sift through and at times be stress producing? You are not alone. Many parents feel the same weight of finding a way to navigate child rearing practices with child rearing wellness. The good news is, according to ZerotoThree.org, which conducted a national parent survey, parents universally believe that parenting can be learned. 69% of the parents say that if they knew more positive parenting strategies, they would use them. 54% of parents, from all backgrounds, agree that good parenting can be learned. As parenting is a lifelong journey, it is important to understand the process, and like all processes, there are stages and milestones. It's in these stages and milestones that we learn and grow as parents and our children develop to their full potential. The investment of our most precious resources, which are our children, requires patience and time.

The emotional and mental wellness of your children is in your hands. Allow me to be part of this exceptional journey and assist you in the process. I will help you navigate those areas that are conflict and stress producing for you and your child. Identifying these areas, some of which happen in school will allow me to devise and outline strategies and techniques that will begin to shift behaviors and will result in change. Creating a harmonious environment is the goal that we want to achieve for both parent and child. A balance of expectations, coupled with an understanding of an open mind, heart, eyes and ears will have lasting effects. As you walk through life with your child and experience the many stages of their life, enjoy and in love, rest assured that you deserve it, you've earned it and most importantly you did the work to make it all happen.

Having a Harmonious Home

The harmonious home is a place our children feel the most secure. It is where, as a family we share and strengthen our relationship and form lifelong bonds. The harmonious home gives children a place to share thoughts, laughter and tears together with a feeling of belonging. This helps in reducing childhood stress and anxiety, Which in turn helps to relieve the worry and fears parents may feel. All parents can create their living space to be full of harmony. The harmonious home is yours for the building and living. Allow me the space and time to guide you through this life altering process.

Adding and Strengthening Your Parenting Tool Box

Many parents have tools and strategies and techniques that they use in communicating with their children. Yet in conversations with parents I hear “This strategy doesn’t work”, “That doesn't work anymore” and finally “I’ve run out of ideas.” The question is, How can we build a life sustaining tool kit? First, identify which tools work and why they work. Next, which tools don't work and why they stop working. Finally, let's get to building new tools to those existing tools that work. Let's get to review which tools need modifying to adapt to your child's age and growing needs. As a carpenter uses many types of hammers to help build a house, for each hammer has a specific purpose, so do the tools in your kit need to grow with your child.

Professional Support and Guidance

As someone who has been working with many different families and parenting styles, I know how hard it is for parents to be parenting in “Survival Mode” and not thriving and experiencing joy in the parenthood journey. Every family is unique and requires a personalized approach in what their family needs. In working with me, I provide a customized goal plan for your family’s individual needs. I also provide an “Emotional CheckPoint” session for parents. Most parents don’t want to parent the way their parents raise them. In order to break those intergenerational behaviors the change doesn't start with our children, it starts with ourselves. In these sessions, we go over Self-Care, Triggers and Self-Regulation strategies to help parents mentally and emotionally get out of “Survival Mode”. Parents don’t want to just survive parenthood, they want to thrive in it.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Parent coaching is a type of coaching that is focused on helping parents improve their parenting skills, overcome challenges, and build stronger relationships with their children.

Parent coaching can address a wide range of parenting issues, including communication, behavior management, building stronger relationships, and coping with stress and overwhelm.

The role of a parent coach is to provide guidance, support, and tools to help parents improve their parenting skills, overcome challenges, and build stronger relationships with their children.

Parent coaching is focused specifically on parenting issues and helping parents develop effective strategies and techniques for addressing those issues. Therapy, on the other hand, is focused on addressing mental health concerns and may involve more in-depth exploration of personal history and emotions.

The length of parent coaching will depend on the specific needs of the parent and child. Coaching sessions may be scheduled on a regular basis or as needed, and the number of sessions required will vary depending on the goals of the coaching.

Yes, parent coaching is confidential. Coaches are bound by professional ethics to keep all information shared during coaching sessions confidential.

Currently, I offer virtual coaching via Zoom.

Yes, goals can be changed, modified and adapted. Goals are fluid. It is important to review and monitor the goal before making any changes. That is why deciding on a goal is important. Think and discuss the reason and purpose of the goal, the age of the child and what the end goal will look and sound like.

With almost 15 years of experience working with children, I have come to realize that the most effective way to support children is to work closely with their parents or caregiver. These individuals have a vested interest in their child's development, and are the strongest influence in their child's first 10 years of life. During these formative years, children establish secure attachments and develop blueprints that will shape their future relationships. While I don't work directly with the child, working with an actively participating parent can yield long-term positive gains in both the child's life and the parent's life.

While a one-hour session with a parent coach can be helpful, it may not be enough to make significant changes to your parenting style. During our first session, the focus is on learning more about you, your family, and your history. This includes identifying patterns and discussing challenging situations, which leaves limited time for developing strategies.

Consistent meetings with a parent coach tend to produce better results. This could be due to the fact that parents are making a concious decision on changing their parenting style or aquiring different parenting strategies and tools. Additionally, changing long-standing patterns that have been in place for years takes time and effort to undo. Therefore, meeting with a parent coach regularly can help you stay on track with your goals and achieve the desired changes in your parenting approach.

An emotional check-in service is a support offering that allows individuals to express and process their emotions in a safe and non-judgmental environment. It involves taking the time to reflect on and share one's feelings, concerns, and experiences with a supportive listener. The purpose of an emotional check-in is to promote self-awareness, emotional well-being, and provide an opportunity for validation and understanding. It can be beneficial for personal growth, stress management, and enhancing overall emotional resilience.

I help you create bonds that last a life time.

As a parenting coach, my goal is to provide parents with the tools they need to build healthy and loving relationships with their children, not just for the present, but also for the future. Just like building a house, laying a strong foundation today can make a world of difference down the line. The journey of parenting can be challenging at times, however with the right tools, patience, and determination, parents can weather any storm that comes their way. By working together, we can help you develop the skills and strategies needed to build a resilient and rewarding relationship with your child that will last a lifetime.
